What Is a Rimjob?

Shower
The best option in terms of prep is to take a shower and then engage in rimming directly afterward. Rimming does come with some risks. You can get Hepatitis A, but this can be mitigated with dental dams, which we’ll get to. One you don’t have to worry about as much is HIV — in the words of the Centers for Disease Control, “There is little to no risk of getting HIV from … oral sex that involves putting the mouth on the penis (fellatio), vagina or vulva (cunnilingus), or anus (rimming) … For HIV transmission to occur, something very unusual would have to happen.”
To reduce the risk of giving or getting an STI when rimming, you can use a dental dam, which is just a thin sheet of latex you put over the partners anus while you’re doin’ thangs. There are also tongue condoms (yes, this is a real thing), which are specifically designed for safe rimming. Also, note that if you’ve got active cold sores, you shouldn’t give a rim job.
